Balance and Play Workshop

Are you looking for a way to improve your mobility and balance thats actually enjoyable?

Do you want to feel more confident in in your balance and proprioception whilst building strength and mobility in a way that feels joyful and fun?

Discover strength, mobility, balance and coordination through playful movement.

The Balance and Play Workshop is here to change how you view movement.

What you’ll experience:

A fun approach to movement: This workshop offers you the opportunity to play. We will explore movement as a playful and joyful experience. I will guide you through different explorative challenges that will have your body moving, building strength, mobility and coordination without feeling like a workout.

Strength through play: Instead of repetitive exercises, you’ll learn how to build strength in a way that feels natural and fun. We will explore movement patterns that strengthen the whole body.

Improved balance and body awareness: Balance is about more than staying upright. It is about feeling connected to your body and your environment. Starting with the feet from the ground up you will explore different challenges to your balance and start to train it in a way that will enable you to be more confident and coordinated in everyday life.

Why Foot Health Matters

Our feet are the foundation of our bodies, playing a crucial role in mechanics, posture, and movement.

Unfortunately, many of us take our feet for granted—often opting for constrictive footwear and relying heavily on orthotics for arch support. This approach can lead to problems that extend beyond just foot discomfort, impacting our entire body in the process .

Proper foot alignment and mechanics significantly impact your body’s overall function and can prevent discomfort and ensure optimal performance .

Thats why understanding your feet, how to strengthen them and bring movement and mobility in to you feet matters.

Joyful exploration of movement: Everyone moves, every day, every moment. Often we don’t explore movement from a place of joy, it is seen more like a chore. This workshop invites you to reconnect with the joy of movement. Exploring different ways to move your body and re-connect with that inner playfulness.

Connection with community: In this workshop you will move amongst like minded individuals who are also on a journey of discovering and exploring the joy of movement. Become a part of a supportive and encouraging community, where everyone celebrates each others progress and growth.

Whether you find balancing of any type challenging or can close your eyes whilst standing on one leg this workshop caters to all levels.

The Importance of Balance Training

We’re built to move—often and in many different ways. But modern life is flat, predictable, and still. We sit for long periods, walk on even ground, and rely on shoes that do all the stabilising for us. Over time, this dulls the brain’s connection to the lower half of the body. The result? Decreased mobility, reduced responsiveness, and a decline in natural balance.

Balance training helps restore that connection. By reintroducing variety, challenge, and play into the way we move, we strengthen the pathways between body and brain—reconnecting with our natural systems for coordination, strength, and stability. This workshop offers simple, practical ways to rebuild your balance from the ground up—without complicated poses or rigid routines. Just grounded, joyful movement that supports your body in real life.

If you are someone who wants to improve your balance and body awareness in a way that translates to day to day activities.

If you want to build strength, mobility and balance in a fun, non traditional way, from a place of exploration, joy and play then this workshop is for you!
